Karmak announced Monday substantial enhancements to its integration with Motor’s FleetCross platform in Fusion version 3.69.10.

FleetCross by Motor provides an industry leading, comprehensive, and up-to-date parts interchange database, with millions of cross references covering OE and aftermarket parts across all makes. By deepening the Fusion integration, Karmak states it is delivering a faster, more seamless experience for users who need quick access to equivalent parts information without ever leaving their daily workflow.

“Our focus is simple — work with customers to take friction out of the parts and service process,” says John Cowan, senior vice president of Business Solutions at Karmak. “These FleetCross enhancements make it faster to find the right part, easier to keep sales in-house and more efficient for the counter and the shop. That’s real ROI our customers can measure.”

Karmak adds enhancements to the MOTOR FleetCross integration in Fusion 3.69.10 include:

  • Improved API Integration: Partial part search enhances results when suppliers add a part prefix or suffix
  • Images Included: When available, part images help personnel confidently identify the correct selection
  • Streamlined User Experience: Consistent, one-click access from Parts Orders, Repair Orders, and Parts Inquiry screens
  • Inventory-Aware Search: Results are now filtered to highlight cross references that match in-stock Fusion inventory, with quantity details displayed immediately
  • Smarter Workflow: Selected parts can be returned directly into Fusion’s order screens, eliminating manual re-entry and reducing errors
  • VMRS Code Alignment: Enhanced flexibility supports real world scenarios, allowing the integration to locate parts across multiple suppliers

Karmak also notes the FleetCross integration supports parts counters, distributors, dealers and service shops by reducing lost sales, lowering inventory costs and improving customer satisfaction.

“MOTOR continues to invest in the strength of our content and Connected Platform Services to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” says Jim Stout, vice president, Product and Service Delivery, Motor Information Systems. “By enabling Motor’s curated and proprietary data to integrate seamlessly into client platforms, we empower greater efficiency and smarter decision-making across the industry.

“Our collaboration with Karmak underscores our commitment to building a more connected ecosystem for the passenger and commercial vehicle market,” he adds. “The success of our initial integration — and the enhancements in this release — mark another important step in delivering real-world value to parts professionals everywhere.”

Customers are equally thrilled by the improvements.

“The improvements to the FleetCross/Karmak integration are going to make it even easier to find and sell the cross-referenced parts that we already have in our inventory! No more missing out on sales that we should have made because of a missed cross,” says Gerald Hakes, parts operaters manager at Midwest Great Dane.
