Daimler reports 8% increase in North American truck sales

Daimler Trucks North America sold 41,687 trucks in the second quarter of 2026, 8% more than it did in the same quarter of 2025. 

The total represented nearly half of the 86,707 units sold globally by the truck maker — also up 8% year over year.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks were up 10% in the quarter, selling 38,970 trucks, but Daimler buses fell 13% to 6,132. Battery-electric vehicles were up 21% to 1,405 trucks sold in the second quarter. 

Daimler will report detailed financial data for the second quarter on Aug. 7.
