Again graciously sponsored by the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network, Cummins-Meritor, High Bar Brands, Interstate Billing Service and Karmak, the Distributor of Year program is celebrating its 23rd year in 2024. This year’s finalists were determined through an open nomination period from April 1 to June 30 on our website.
They are First Call Truck Parts, Freedom Truck & Trailer, San Diego Friction (Wetmores), The Service Company and Vander Haag’s.
First Call Truck Parts and Freedom Truck & Trailer are now two-time participants in our program. First Call was previously a finalist in 2018; Freedom made its first appearance in our program last year.

San Diego Friction and The Service Company are new to the Distributor of the Year program, earning their first appearances this year thanks to strong support from the independent aftermarket during our open nomination period. Vander Haag’s rounds out our participants this year and is a finalist for the first time (2019, 2022).
In all, more than 120 nominations were cast for this year’s award, with 26 companies receiving at least one nomination. Among those businesses were five prior winners and 12 prior finalists.

The five businesses participating in this year’s program represent two dozen points of sale across 12 states. Each will be profiled on TPS in the months ahead leading up to Distributor of the Year Award presentation on Jan. 21, 2025, at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) in Grapevine, Texas.
