Slated to complete construction in late 2018, Hino says the new location will combine employees from current headquarters, located both in Novi and Farmington Hills, Mich., in a new state-of-the-art facility.
“Today’s groundbreaking not only signifies Hino’s growth in the U.S. but also a new beginning for our operations in the U.S. With sales, distribution, engineering and manufacturing operations all under one roof at our new U.S. headquarters, our ability to manage the phenomenal growth of the Hino Brand in America will be greatly enhanced,” says Yoshinori Noguchi, president and CEO at Hino Trucks.
“In that spirit, we are excited to break ground on our new office and collectively work together as one Hino U.S. team. We are grateful to the state of Michigan, Oakland County and the City of Novi for their partnership as Hino U.S.A. continues to expand its footprint in the United States.”
Hino says the new location at 12 Mile Road & Taft Road will be 124,000 sq.-ft., nearly one third as warehouse and the rest as corporate offices. Expected to house more than 200 employees, the facility also will be the home to Hino’s new National Training Center.
