Summit Truck Group says it has upgraded its used truck program to provide peace of mind to second and third owners.
The Summit Certified/Summit Ultimate Truck Warranty Program was originally launched in 2014 and covered heavy-duty trucks only. The Summit Certified process, which includes a used vehicle inspection, DPF cleaning, PM service, DOT inspection, and detailing for used trucks, has now been updated to include medium-duty used trucks as well as heavy, providing coverage for all makes and models in Classes 3-8.
“This is another example of how Summit Truck Group strives to provide the best customer service experience in the industry,” says Randy Smith, Summit’s vice president of Used Trucks. “We’re not just selling used trucks, we’re ensuring that the vehicles our customers purchase are in top shape and will meet the needs of these second or third owners.”
Summit says it completes used vehicle inspections and necessary repairs at its Summit Truck Group Reconditioning Center in Joplin, Mo., in order to certify the vehicle. Once Summit certified, the vehicle qualifies for a two-year warranty that is available for purchase through Premium 2000+. The “ultimate coverage” under the program includes all parts requiring lubrication that come in contact with the manufacturer’s approved fluids. Applicable mileage varies by year and class, and some restrictions apply.
