Five talented technicians from River States Truck and Trailer, La Crosse Truck Center and Minnesota Truck and Trailer will compete this weekend for top honors at the 2nd Annual Top Technician Competition, held in Roberts, Wis., according to an announcement.
The competition gives the technicians an opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge at five stations comprised of various diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair challenges. At each station, the technicians will demonstrate their knowledge and skills in areas such as electronics, preventive maintenance, HVAC, wiring, lighting, suspensions, brakes, clutches and steering. This year, competing technicians will see a new station featuring Bendix, which helped sponsor and support this year’s competition.
Technicians who finish in the top three take home over a combined $5,000 in cash and prizes donated by event sponsors and vendors, including Fabick/CAT, LKQ Corporation, Perkins Oil, Gorilla Brake, Weller Truck Parts, Freightliner, IFACS, Cummins, Exxon Mobil, Airgas, General Truck Parts, East Penn, ZEP, Cornwell Tools, EO Johnson, Close up Apparel and Red Kap.
