Paccar steer axle available on multiple Peterbilt models

Peterbilt Motors Company last week announced the availability of the standard track configuration of the Paccar 20K and 22K steer axle beginning May 2018.

Paccar’s heavy-duty steer axles are available on Models 567, 520, 389, 367, 365 and 348 and are ideal for the industry’s most demanding vocational applications such as heavy haul, refuse and construction, Peterbilt says. The axles are available with either disc or drum brakes and allows for a turning radius of up to 50 degrees.

“The standard track version of the heavy duty steer axle continues to broaden the proprietary Paccar offerings for our customers,” says Robert Woodall, assistant general manager – sales and marketing at Peterbilt Motors Company. “Providing individualized solutions for our customers is consistent with our brand promise. The standard track Paccar 20K and 22K axle is one more option that helps our customers configure the best axle for their application.”

The Paccar 20K and 22K steer axle comes standard with a five-year, 750,000-mile warranty. The axle’s design allows for increased efficiency through weight reduction while maintaining best in class durability and optimal maneuverability, the company says.
