River States Truck and Trailer employees Channing Lokken and Nate Schaefer showed an impressive amount of heroism last month in helping to save a family from a house fire in Eau Claire, Wis.
The River States duo were taking a few items to the nearby landfill in late April when they noticed smoke coming from a nearby house fire. After calling the local authorities, Lokken and Schaefer quickly drove to the house and ran to the door to alert the family inside who had no idea the house was on fire. Lokken and Schaefer assisted four children and grandmother to safety.
After the volunteer fire trucks and personnel were on scene, Lokken and Schaefer also stayed to assist pulling hoses and hooking up pumps.
