Freightliner of Hartford earns Elite Support designation

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has added Freightliner of Hartford (FOH) of East Hartford, Conn., to its Elite Support network.

FOH dates back to May 1996 when the current owners acquired Yankee Kenworth and immediately transitioned the dealership to aggressively market the Freightliner product line while eliminating representation of Kenworth trucks. Starting with a staff of 18 employees the company has grown to a force of more than 100. The initial facility of 14,000 sq.-ft. located in East Hartford has expanded with affiliated acquisitions to include seven buildings comprising over 100,000 sq.-ft. of facilities dedicated to servicing an ever-expanding clientele base.

At the core of FOH’s business philosophy is the notion that success optimization is customer driven, the company says. There is a direct correlation between sales revenues and the level of customer service provided.  FOH strives to exceed expectations. The company says the level of staff expertise is unparalleled.  The demands of meeting the challenges created by new technologies are met by dedicating resources to keep personnel on the cutting edge of industry innovation.

Today, FOH sells and services the entire Freightliner heavy- and medium-duty product line. FOH also is a Western Star parts and service dealer.  To excel in this endeavor requires an ongoing financial commitment to meet customer needs. The company provides twice daily delivery of parts to customer locations in western Massachusetts as well as the entire state of Connecticut, which is accomplished with a fleet of 12 delivery vehicles supported by a parts inventory exceeding $3 million.

Freightliner of Hartford says its customers also enjoy free pick-up and delivery for vehicles needing service, and with more than 40 service bays staffed by seasoned, highly skilled technicians every possible product related issue can be resolved. Additionally, the sales staff at FOH attributes success to the quality products of Freightliner along with the required knowledge and expertise to assist the customer. The sales team possesses the ability to develop specifications to satisfy complex and sophisticated application needs, the company says, and FOH sells and services a wide, varied customer base represented by numerous vocational markets.

The belief that the chassis sale begins once the customer takes delivery is what drives the commitment to provide ongoing support, and FOH says it enjoys repeat business and excels in customer retention levels as a result.
