Wabash flat-floor option coming to Ford transit bodies

Supreme Ford Transit Iner City 300x200Wabash National Corporation announced Wednesday a flat-floor option will be available on 2019 Supreme Iner-City Ford Transit truck bodies.

According to the company, this popular upgrade has no wheel boxes, making for easier cargo loading and unloading. Other standards and options remain, such as DuraPlate composite sidewalls for lightweight durability and a cab-access door for convenient entry to the cargo space without needing to step outside. Supreme combines these features to create a lightweight and nimble small truck suitable for delivery, construction and rental fleet use. The body type also is popular among customers who require optimal maneuverability, the company adds.

“Our team is committed to delivering reliable solutions to our customers,” says Mike Pettit, group president, Final Mile Products. “The collaborative relationships we have with both the chassis manufacturers and our customers allow us to build products that help our customers be more productive.”

Supreme will carry the 2019 Transit chassis in its pool inventory starting in Q4 of 2018. Orders can be placed with Supreme representatives now, Wabash says.
