Wix Filters says its cabin air filters have been enhanced with Microban’s proprietary antimicrobial protection to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew and help keep negative elements from entering a vehicle’s interior, keeping cabin air fresher for the filter’s lifetime.

Microban’s antimicrobial technology helps to inhibit microbe growth by attaching to the cell wall and disrupting normal cellular function, which leads to the cell’s eventual breakdown and a reduction in the number of microbes on the treated surface, leaving the filters and the air inside the vehicle cleaner longer, the company says.
