Meritor debuts tapered roller bearings for multiple applications

Updated Aug 28, 2016

SET406MTORMeritor has released its new Meritor AllFit premium-tapered roller bearings for differentials, transmissions and wheel-ends for multiple applications, including steer, drive and trailer axles.

“The AllFit bearing is an ideal all-makes solution offering exceptional reliability, long life and full interchangeability with other manufacturer’s bearings,” says Sam Marco, product specialist for Meritor Aftermarket. “The new offering rounds out our portfolio, allowing us to respond to customer requests for cost-effective, high-quality all-makes bearing options.”

Because Meritor’s AllFit bearings are manufactured with the same processes as Meritor genuine bearings, Marco says they offer the dependable performance typically associated with original-level products. The bearings are manufactured with a high grade steel and are through-hardened for added tensile strength. To safeguard against contaminants, each bearing is packaged in individually sealed and wrapped plastic bags. Select wheel-end sets include intermediate plastic between the cup and cone for added protection during transportation, Meritor says.

The new bearings will be offered through independent warehouse distributors and OE dealers. The bearings also are available to rebuilders through Meritor’s Drivetrain Direct program.

“Our new AllFit bearing is an outstanding option for rebuilders in search of an economical bearing solution without sacrificing performance,” adds Tim Burns, senior manager, Rear Axle, Transmission and Gearing for Meritor Aftermarket. “Rebuilders gain real peace of mind knowing they’re purchasing a quality bearing at all-makes pricing.”
