Milwaukee Tool releases underbody light, new socket sizes

Milwaukee Tool underbody light

Milwaukee Tool expands its lighting solutions again with the introduction of the M12 Underbody Light. The company also released 49 socket sizes.

The underbody light provides users with a strong magnetic base and dual rotation points, delivering directional lighting, hands-free work and unmatched maneuverability. The M12 Underbody Light is the ideal solution for lighting efficiency and versatility in one desired location, the company says.

The M12 Underbody Light delivers 1200 Lumens of TrueView High-Definition Output for complete coverage in the shop or on the jobsite. Featuring dual joints that swivel 300-degrees horizontally and up to 180-degrees vertically, the underbody light provides users with multiple orientations and pivot points to direct light in numerous locations.

A magnetic base allows it to be mounted on magnetic surfaces for hands-free lighting and adaptability to a range of different workplaces. The arm of the light doubles as a 12-in. magnetic storage tray, providing magnetic bolt attachment for small jobsite accessories, preventing lost or misplaced items.

Powered by M12 RedLithium batteries, the light has three power modes that provide up to 15 hours of output and run-time on low, and up to 5 hours of run-time on high. Built to withstand the toughest conditions, it’s resistant to corrosion and common chemicals found in autobody shops, IP54 rated, and can withstand impacts up to 6 ft.

The new M12 Underbody Light joins the M12 Cordless System focused on delivering industry-leading durability and power in the tightest spaces. Currently the M12 System is made up of more than 100 solutions.

Milwaukee Tool also announced it is growing its lineup of mechanics hand tools with the addition of 49 new socket sizes, bringing the full offering to 191 different sizes.

Milwaukee’s lineup of sockets will now include more sizes in 1/4-in. drive, 3/8-in. and 1/2-inch drive. The sockets feature a unique Four Flat Side design that stops rolling and allows the socket to be used with a wrench. All sockets are stamped for better visibility, the company says.

These new mechanics hand tools will be available for purchase at select distributors in October 2021.
