Mobile app Trucker Path has launched the Trucker Path Fuel Network, a way for drivers and merchants to buy and sell fuel in the app. The company touts a savings of $50-$70 with each transaction.

"We are adding yet another money-saving convenience for drivers to our all-in-one app," says Chris Oliver, Trucker Path CMO. "With no cost to participate and no credit checks, they will easily save a substantial amount of money at participating fueling locations by using the same app they already rely upon every day."

Oliver says the app will also help fuel merchants increase fuel and convenience store sales by increasing traffic volumes.

"With the enhanced exposure and promotion to the Trucker Path community of nearly one million commercial truck drivers, they will attract more customers and be able to offer them an excellent in-app purchase process that's super convenient and easy," he says.

Trucker Path says there are no fees, separate portals or logins, and it will offer fuel savings coupons based on gallons purchased along with rewards and additional referral savings. Additional benefits for truck stops include no transaction fees, the ability to offer promotions and monitor competitor's fuel prices in real time.

Drivers can enroll in the program in the app by inputting a credit or debit card, then reserving the amount of fuel they want to purchase. Upon arrival at the location, they click redeem in the app, enter the pump number and gallons of fuel, then begin fueling. Purchases can also be made on arrival.
