IMI debuted the Wheel Teq Wheel Washer for shops and fleets.
The company says the washer is engineered to streamline wheel maintenance and can accommodate wheels ranging from 19 inches to 24 inches. It cleans both sides in a single, two-minute cycle. IMI says by ensuring a more thorough clean that meets Department of Transportation safety standards, the machine uncovers hidden defects such as cracks, corrosion and other damage.

"We've seen a growing demand from fleets wanting to have their wheels washed regularly — not just for appearance, but to remove grease, grime and brake dust for a more thorough safety inspection before mounting new tires or retreads," IMI President Bob Fogal says. "The Wheel Washer provides tire dealers with a viable service that's both user and environmentally friendly. Unlike pressure washing, which is prohibited in many parts of the country due to environmental regulations, this equipment is designed to quickly clean the entire wheel, including the bead seat area for concentric mounting. Tire dealers can unlock a valuable new revenue stream by offering wheel cleaning whenever customers bring their vehicles in for new tires."
IMI says the Wheel Washer is manufactured in the United States.
