SKF announced Thursday it will now refer to its global transportation business unit as SKF Vehicle Aftermarket. The business unit was formally known as SKF Vehicle Service Market.

SKF Vehicle Aftermarket will continue to offer premium wheel end components and other related parts and services to aftermarket distributors, installers and end-user customers, the company says.

“As manufacturers and suppliers of premium components for various areas of the global transportation segment, we felt it would better serve our customers to refer to the business unit as ‘Vehicle Aftermarket’ to more clearly define our breadth of offering,” says Norbert Neumann, director automotive, SKF Vehicle Aftermarket. “Every product and service we provide is engineered to contribute to a better world — from more fuel-efficient vehicles, to safer vehicles, to better performing vehicles.

SKF Vehicle Aftermarket will continue with its mission of providing premium components for the evolving needs of the vehicle aftermarket, as well as working to continuously enhance the customer experience,” Neumann adds.

To reflect the new name, SKF says it has updated its website. The updated site provides details about the complete SKF Vehicle Aftermarket offering, as well as technical insights, training and installation information, videos, and more.
