The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Jayco is recalling certain 2023-2024 Entegra Ethos, Expanse, Jayco Solstice, and Swift vehicles. The liquid level remote fill gauge on the propane tank may leak when in the "Open" position. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. NHTSA says potentially 533 units are affected by the recall.
- Jayco is recalling certain 2023-2024 Jayco Solstice, Solstice LI, Entegra Coach Expanse, and Expanse LI motorhomes built on Ford chassis. The rearview camera, or 360-degree view camera if equipped, may not display a rearview image when the vehicle is placed in reverse. Loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 136 units are affected by the recall.
- Nova Bus is recalling certain 2021-2022 LFS Artic and 2021-2023 LFS buses. The alternator power cable nut may not have been tightened properly. A loose nut can cause electrical arcing, increasing the risk of a fire. NHTSA says potentially 688 units are affected by the recall.
- Prevost Car is recalling certain 2010 H3-45 VIP, 2024 H3-45 and X3-45 vehicles. The coolant heaters may generate excessive exhaust gas and overheat. Excessive exhaust gas may increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, and an overheating heater increases the risk of a fire. Additionally, a vehicle fire may require an evacuation procedure in an uncontrolled traffic situation, increasing the risk of injury to passengers. NHTSA says potentially 37 units are affected by the recall.
- Stellantis is recalling certain 2021-2022 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The wiring harness may have a poor connection, which can cause the left taillight and left turn signal to become inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." An inoperative left turn signal may not notify other drivers of a turning vehicle, and an inoperative left taillight can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 12,375 units are affected by the recall.
