The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Chrysler is recalling certain 2025 Ram 1500 vehicles. The front wheel hub encoder rings may be damaged, which can disable the electronic stability control system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems." Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 33,777 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2023-2024 F-250, F-350, and F-450 vehicles. Water may enter the Tailgate Park Assist Sensor Interface Module (TPASIM) and cause the rearview camera image to display intermittently or appear blue or black. A rearview camera image that does not display can decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash. NHTSA says 24,950 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ford Transit vehicles previously repaired under recall number 24V-102. Incorrect bolts may have been used to attach the rear axle shaft, which can lead to the rear wheel locking up or separating from the axle. Rear wheel lock-up or separation of the wheel from the axle shaft can result in loss of vehicle control or loss of drive power. In addition, the vehicle may roll in park if the parking brake is not applied. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 808 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Gillig is recalling certain 2024 Low Floor buses. A defective welded joint may cause the wiper arm to suddenly fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 104, "Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems." Inoperative wipers can reduce the driver's ability to see out of the windshield, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 611 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Mack Trucks is recalling certain 2020-2025 Anthem, Granite, TerraPro and Pinnacle vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working. Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 60,450 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2020-2025 VN, VAH, VHD and VNRE trucks, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced ECUs. NHTSA says 126,649 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Spartan Fire is recalling certain 2024-2025 Metro Star, FC-94, 2025 Gladiator, and KME Panther vehicles. A missing mechanical stop may allow the cab tilt cylinder to be overextended. Overextension of the cab tilt cylinder can cause the cab to drop, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 50 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Orange EV is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series and 2023-2024 e-TRIEVER terminal trucks. The Emergency Response Guide (ERG), operator, maintenance, and service manuals incorrectly state that the emergency stop button in the vehicle cab will shut off and lock out the high voltage system. Incorrect lockout instructions can mislead the operator into thinking the high voltage system is shut down, increasing the risk of injury by electrical shock. NHTSA says 1,334 units are potentially affected by the recall.
