The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Forest River is recalling certain 2024 Ahara, Entrada, 2022-2025 FR3, Georgetown, 2021-2023 Dynamax Isata, 2021-2025 Encore, Mirada, Pursuit, 2025 Sportscoach, V-Cruise, V-Sport, V-Tour, 2023 Sunseeker, and 2024-2025 V-RV motorhomes, equipped with General Electric air conditioners with a soft start device with part number ICM870-16A-BH5400. The air conditioner soft start device may fail and overheat. An air conditioner soft start device that overheats increases the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 2,783 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Forest River is recalling certain 2024-2025 Catalina and 2025 Aurora travel trailers. The washer preparation area may not have an anti-siphon vent installed, allowing sewer gas to enter the vehicle. Sewer gas entering the vehicle increases the risk of injury. NHTSA says 272 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Forest River is recalling certain 2023-2024 Riverstone Fifth Wheel trailers. The solar panels may have been incorrectly connected in parallel and instead of in series, causing the wiring to overheat and melt. Melted wires increase the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 16 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Forest River Bus is recalling certain 2025-2026 Collins MFSAB, Collins CL9, 2025 Magellan and 2026 Mid Bus school buses. The incorrect child seat latch bar was installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems." The incorrect latch bar may make it difficult or impossible to correctly install a child seat, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 173 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Mack Trucks is recalling certain 2019-2025 GR and 2018 GU Granite vehicles equipped with non-DOT tested tires. The tires may not have been DOT tested and confirmed to be sufficient for the vehicles. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 119, "New Pneumatic Tires - Other Than Passenger Cars." Insufficient tires can fail, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 49 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Motiv Power Systems is recalling certain 2021-2024 E-450 vehicles equipped with a Motiv Gen 4 EPIC powertrain. A wire connection point could loosen, causing a loss of 12-volt control power to the high voltage (HV) batteries. Interruption of the 12-volt control power can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 40 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Motiv Power Systems is recalling certain 2021-2024 E-450 school buses equipped with a Motiv Gen 4 EPIC powertrain. A wire connection point could loosen, causing a loss of 12-volt control power to the high voltage (HV) batteries. Interruption of the 12-volt control power can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 25 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Newmar Corporation is recalling certain 2023-2024 Super Star motorhomes. The inner wheel tire valve extension may be damaged through contact with the outer wheels, causing the inner tire to lose air pressure and overload the outer tire. Overloading may cause the rear tire to fail, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 111 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Paccar is recalling certain 2025 Kenworth C500, T680, T800, T880, W900, W990, Peterbilt 567, 579, and 589 trucks, equipped with Cummins X15 diesel engines. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, which can result in an engine stall. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 5,690 units are potentially affected by the recall.
