The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Altec Industries is recalling certain 2024 AT200A aerial trucks. Inadequate clearance between the hydraulic hoses and the engine exhaust manifold may result in the hoses overheating. Hydraulic hoses that overheat can increase the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 37 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • General Motors is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, 6500HD vehicles. The air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) may not have been activated during installation. Inactive air bags will not deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 25 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Terex South Dakota is recalling certain 2023-2024 TL80, TL80/112, TL100, and TM vehicles. The jib extension hydraulic cylinder rod may have a weak weld that can fail. A failed weld can result in the cylinder rod separating from the cylinder, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 37 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2022-2024 Volvo VN vehicles. When the Controller Area Network (CAN) communications are interrupted and the vehicle is in limp mode, an incorrect accelerator pedal signal can result in unintended acceleration. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 124, "Accelerator Control Systems." Sudden unintended acceleration can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 2,098 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2025 View and Navion motorhomes. A screw may contact and damage the seat belt retractor. A damaged retractor may perform improperly, preventing the seat belt from securing the occupant and increasing the risk of injury during a crash. NHTSA says 27 units are potentially affected by the recall.
