The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Brinkley RV is recalling certain 2025 Model Z travel trailers. The installed safety chains are underrated for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Underrated chains can break, allowing the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 40 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Chrysler is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ram 1500 vehicles. The turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective devices, and Associated Equipment." Turn signals that do not function properly may fail to indicate the driver's intention to change vehicle direction, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 129,313 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Chrysler is recalling certain 2024 Ram Promaster Battery Electric (BEV) vehicles. Incorrect software in the motor control processor module (MCPA) may cause a loss of drive power. A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 336 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2025 Freightliner Cascadia, Western Star 49X, Freightliner Custom Chassis XCM and Freightliner Custom Chassis XCP vehicles equipped with certain Cummins fuel pumps. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, which can result in an engine stall. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 588 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2024 F-53 Recreational Stripped Chassis and 2024 F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may not properly display the transmission gear position indicator. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 102, "Transmission Shift Position Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect." A transmission gear position indicator that fails to illuminate can make it difficult to identify the correct transmission shift position, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 761 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Forest River is recalling certain 2025 Catalina CAT243RBSLE travel trailers. The Federal Placard label states an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims," and fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification." Referencing an incorrect label may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 26 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Navistar is recalling certain 2025 International HX and International LT vehicles equipped with Cummins X15 diesel engines. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, resulting in an engine stall. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 1,086 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Nova Bus is recalling certain 2022-2023 LFS buses. A software error may cause the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) to crash, disconnecting the high voltage batteries and causing a loss of drive power. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 40 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Tesla is recalling certain 2024 Cybertruck vehicles. The rearview camera image may be delayed after shifting into reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 111, "Rear Visibility." A delayed rearview image reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 27,185 units are potentially affected by the recall.
