The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Chrysler is recalling certain 2017-2018 Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, 3500 Cab Chassis, 4500 and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles. The hydraulic control unit (HCU) may fail, which can cause the anti-lock brake (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and traction control systems to fail. A loss of anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, or traction control can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 317,630 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Forest River is recalling certain 2025 Concord, Entourage, Freelander, and Leprechaun motorhomes. The taillights may overheat and fail to illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Inoperative taillights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 17 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • General Motors is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2500, 3500, and GMC Sierra HD 2500, 3500 vehicles equipped with power-unlatching tailgates. The tailgate's electronic gate-release switch may short circuit due to water intrusion, which can result in the tailgate inadvertently unlatching while the vehicle is in Park. An unlatched tailgate may open and result in a loss of unsecured cargo, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 131,231 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • International Motors is recalling certain 2022-2025 HX vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 121, "Air Brake Systems." A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash. NHTSA says 57 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • International Motors is recalling certain 2025 EMV vehicles. A circuit breaker may be missing, causing the defrosting system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems." An inoperative windshield defrosting system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 22 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America is recalling certain 2016-2020 FEC52, FEC72, and FEC92 vehicles. The rear leaf spring may break. A broken rear spring leaf may become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 224 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Nova Bus is recalling certain 2022-2024 LFS buses. The wheelchair securement system may have been installed with the attachment points in the incorrect locations. Incorrectly located attachment points may prevent the securement system from adequately restraining the occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash. NHTSA says 24 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Paccar is recalling certain 2024 Peterbilt 367, 389, 548, Kenworth T480, T800, 2024-2025 Peterbilt 520, 567 and Kenworth T880 vehicles with Paccar 20k steer axles. The steering arm and/or tie rod bracket fasteners may fail, resulting in a loss of steering control. A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 68 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Paccar is recalling certain 2024 Peterbilt 537, 2024-2025 Kenworth T380, T480, Peterbilt 548, and 2025 Peterbilt 536 trucks, equipped with certain Meritor 10-16K and 18-23K front steer drive axles. The front steer drive axles may have insufficient wheel bearing lubricant. Insufficient lubrication may cause the wheel hub to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire, or result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 29 units are potentially affected by the recall.
