The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Autocar is recalling certain 2025-2026 ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. The Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system may unexpectedly turn off when the vehicle turns. The loss of AEB increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 239 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • The Heil Co. is recalling certain 2023-2025 side loader garbage trucks equipped with certain Agility Fuel Solutions CNG Fuel Systems, using part number 10300466. The manual cylinder valves may develop stress corrosion cracks in the bottom plugged port, causing a leak. A natural gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 50 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Mack Trucks is recalling certain 2024-2025 Granite trucks equipped with LED headlights. The LED headlights may fail. Loss of headlight illumination can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 8,857 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Marion Body Works is recalling certain 2024-2025 Spartan Fire FC-94, Gladiator, and Metrostar vehicles. The actuator lever arm in the cab door latch may bind or become wedged, preventing the door from opening. A door that cannot be opened may trap occupants inside the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 51 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2025-2026 New VN trucks. The roof center marker lights may fail to illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Marker lights that fail to illuminate can reduce visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 3,124 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2019-2026 VAH trucks. The passenger seat belt anchor may fail due to inadequate floor reinforcement. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages." A seat belt anchor that fails will not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 242 units are potentially affected by the recall.
