Safety Recalls

The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. is recalling certain 2024-2025 Phoenix transit buses equipped with a propane conversion kit with an aftermarket compressor. The alternator may contact and damage the fuel line. A damaged fuel line may leak, increasing the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 37 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2025-2026 Maverick vehicles. The instrument panel cover may separate when the air bag deploy. An instrument panel cover separation can cause pieces of the cover to strike occupants, increasing the risk injury during a crash. NHTSA says 6,897 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Mack Trucks is recalling certain 2009-2015 Granite (GU) trucks. Vehicles remedied under Recall 15V804 (SC0398) may have had incorrect parts installed during subsequent repairs. The incorrect parts may cause a brake imbalance between the steer and drive axle brakes and the rear brakes to overheat. Overheated brakes may cause a tire blowout or fire, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 628 units are potentially affected by the recall.
