
The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Blue Bird is recalling certain 2019-2027 Vision and All American school buses. A loose 12-volt cable may disconnect, causing a loss of electrical systems. A loss of brake assist, drive power, steering assist, or instrument panel displays can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 2,356 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Blue Bird is recalling certain 2022-2024 All American transit buses. A loose 12-volt cable may disconnect, causing a loss of electrical systems. A loss of brake assist, drive power, steering assist, or instrument panel displays can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 16 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Blue Bird is recalling certain 2026 Vision and All American transit buses equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured. An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 11 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Gillig is recalling certain 2025 Low Floor transit buses. The rear axle upper torque rod fasteners may have been improperly tightened. A loose torque rod may contact and damage other axle components. Damaged axle components can decrease stability or vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 26 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Terminal Investment Corporation (TICO) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Pro Spotter Tandem tractors. The track rod mounting bracket for the forward rear axle, of the tandem axles set may crack and break, which can result in track rod detachment. Track rod detachment can cause a loss of vehicle steering control and increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 113 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Tiffin Motorhomes is recalling certain 2025-2026 Open Trail motorhomes equipped with an optional diesel or propane generator. The wiring harness may contain incorrectly sized wires. An undersized wire can overheat, increasing the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 18 units are potentially affected by the recall.
