The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Corp. Micro Bird Inc. is recalling certain 2023-2025 G5 transit buses built on a GM chassis and equipped with a second air conditioning compressor kit. The drive belt pulley may contact and damage the oil lines. NHTSA says 30 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Corp. Micro Bird is also recalling certain 2023-2026 G5 school buses and 2024 MB II school buses on the same chassis for the same problem. NHTSA says 902 units are potentially affected.
- Fontaine Trailer Company is recalling and issuing a do not drive warning for certain 2025-2026 Fusion flat bed trailers. The main beams may have been contaminated with hydrogen during the galvanization process, causing the beams to crack. NHTSA says 247 units are potentially affected.
- International Motors is recalling certain 2026-2027 HV vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release and fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 121. NHTSA says 16 units are potentially affected.
- Forest River is recalling certain 2026 Prime Time Crusader recreational trailers. The waste water holding tank ventilation pip may end inside the trailer, allowing sewer gas to enter the cabin. NHTSA says 27 units are potentially affected.
