Recall report: Slew of RV recalls — including a fire warning — and Wabash trailers have a recall

Safety Recalls

The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA): 

  • Shyft Group is recalling certain 2025 Spartan RV Chassis K1, 2024-2026 RV Chassis K2, RV Chassis K3 and 2025-2027 RV Chassis K4 vehicles. The exterior brake lights may remain illuminated when the driver is not applying the brakes. NHTSA says 836 units are potentially affected.
  • K.Z. Inc is recalling certain 2026 Durango recreational trailers equipped with certain Curt Touring Coil suspensions. The shock bolts may have been incorrectly tightened. NHTSA says 677 units are potentially affected.
  • Wabash National Corporation is recalling certain 2019-2023 Transcraft Platform and 2024-2027 Wabash Platform trailers. The conspicuity tape may not have been installed. NHTSA says 721 units are potentially affected.
  • Alliance RV is recalling certain 2022-2025 Valor and Paradigm recreational trailers. The heating pad may not be appropriate for lithium battery applications. NHTSA says 2,785 units are potentially affected.
  • Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. is recalling certain 2025-2026 Phoenix and 2026 Metrolite buses equipped with certain QRT-360 wheelchair retractors. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured. NHTSA says 677 units are potentially affected.
  • Brinkley RV is recalling certain 2025-2026 Model Z trailers. The shock bolts may have been incorrectly tightened. NHTSA says 6,061 units are potentially affected.
  • Forest River Inc. is recalling certain 2026 Riverstone, Cedar Creek and 2024 R-Pod recreational trailers equipped with Curt Touring Coil suspensions. The shock bolts may have been incorrectly tightened. NHTSA says 200 units are potentially affected.
  • Alliance RV is recalling certain 2025-2027 Paradigm recreational trailers equipped with certain Curt Touring Coil suspensions. The shock bolts may have been incorrectly tightened. NHTSA says 2,536 units are potentially affected.
  • Tiffin Motorhomes is recalling certain 2025-2026 GT1, 2026 GH2 and GH1 motorhomes with a fire risk warning. A screw may have punctured the fuel tank during manufacturing, causing a fuel leak. Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures. NHTSA says 392 units are potentially affected.
  • Ember Recreational Vehicles Inc. is recalling certain 2026-2027 Touring Edition recreational trailers, equipped with certain Curt Touring Coil suspensions. The shock bolts may have been incorrectly tightened. NHTSA says 143 units are potentially affected.
  • Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. is recalling certain 2026-2027 Open Trail, Wayfarer and 2026 Midas recreational vehicles. The Cargo Carrying Capacity label may have been incorrectly printed on a white label. NHTSA says 160 units are potentially affected.
