HDA Truck Pride lobbies for “right to repair”

As the battle to protect and enhance vehicle repair rights grows, HDA Truck Pride staff and distributor members will visit Washington, D.C., this week to meet with Congressional members and staffers during the 2021 Congressional Baseball Game for Charity.

HDA Truck Pride will sponsor the Auto Care Association’s “Auto Care on Deck” tailgate event prior to the game and will greet Capitol Hill staffers and game spectators as they entered Nationals Park on Wednesday, Sept. 29.

During the tailgate and in direct meeting with members of Congress, Right to Repair and the importance of the automotive aftermarket and commercial vehicle aftermarket will be discussed, including what would happen if independent repair were unavailable and trucking came to a subsequent halt.

“The $383 billion aftermarket industry is not only critical to the 4.4 million people it employs, but also to any person or business that needs vehicle repair,” says Tina Hubbard, president and CEO, HDA Truck Pride. “Having access to information and allowing consumers and business the right to choose how and where their vehicles get repaired is vital to our industry, and why HDA Truck Pride is committed to supporting legislative activities such as Right to Repair.”
