
NTEA, the Work Truck Association, announced the line up for the Ride & Drive event at Work Truck Week, March 11-12, in Indianapolis.
"Ride & Drive is a unique opportunity for anyone at Work Truck Week to spend some hands-on time out on the road with the latest commercial vehicles and the technology that drives them," says Chris Lyon, NTEA director of fleet relations. "They can choose to drive or ride along to take notes and photos. Manufacturer reps for each vehicle will be on hand to provide information and answer questions."
In addition to Ride & Drive, Work Truck Week runs March 10-13, starting with the Green Truck Summit on March 10. Educational sessions run March 10-12 and the Work Truck Show is March 11-13.
The line up includes:
- A vehicle equipped with the Allison 3000-Series six-speed fully automatic transmission.
- A vehicle equipped with Allison 4000 and 4500 Series Uprate.
- A Blue Arc battery-powered Class 4 trucks.
- A step van with a Blue Bird EV commercial chassis.
- A Ford Transit van.
- A Ford Super Duty truck.
- A Hino L6e battery-electric medium-duty truck.
- A Hino Tern RC8 battery-electric Class 8 4x2 tractor on a Hino XL Series chassis.
- An Isuzu NRR EV Class 5 low-cab-forward battery electric truck.
- A Mack MD Electric medium-duty truck.
- A Mercedes-Benz fully electric eSprinter van.
- A Peterbilt Model 536EV zero-emissions truck.
- A Ram ProMaster van.
- A Rivian R 1 T electric four-door crew cab pickup.
Other participating OEMs include Kenworth and Harbinger. Ride & Drive sponsor Allison Transmission will also bring the Allison Experience trailer and team to demonstrate its fully automatic transmissions and eGen Power e-Axles. Other displays will include the Shyft Group/Aebi Schmidt Group TT 211 Terratrac compact slop tracter and the Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc./Nuvera HydroCharge hydrogen-powered AC genset and DC fast-charger.
