In a market environment that the company says continues to be characterized by uncertainty, Traton Group reported Friday a 4% year-over-year increase in global unit sales in the second quarter.

At 82,900 sales, Traton also substantially surpassed the 68,600 units moved in the first quarter, and brings the company’s total unit sales for the first half of 2026 to 151,500 vehicles, only 1% below the prior-year level.

Volkswagen Truck & Bus was the company’s strongest division in Q2, with sales up 15% thanks to a government supported incentive program in Brazil.

International was again the company’s weaker segment, though Q2 was much improved over the first quarter

International sold 16,200 units in the second quarter, down 8% year over year. That brings the North American truck maker’s first-half sales to 29,500 units, down 15% against 2025.

Traton also reports Scania Vehicles & Services’ sales were up 7% in Q2, with MAN Truck & Bus up 3%. Traton will publish its 2026 Half-Year Financial Report on July 23, 2026.
