Wabash Ready-to-Mount program

Wabash introduced its new Ready-to-Mount quick build program Wednesday during the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.

Wabash Senior Director of Specialty Sales & Truck Body Sales Strategy Kevin Sumrak says the company's Ready-to-Mount program is a revolutionary solution to improve speed to market for the company's most popular body solutions.

Sumrak says the Ready-to-Mount Program delivers pre-built dry freight and platform bodies and popular and valuable options to seven preferred upfitting locations across the country, which can then receive orders and place a body on a customer's chassis in as little as two weeks.

Sumrak says this program will have a number of benefits for customers and the company alike. Sumrak says 80% of dry van body orders will be able to be fulfilled through the program, dramatically reducing delivery times for customers in need of equipment — either to expand their operations or replace a damaged unit. The system also will help Wabash by increasing efficiency at its manufacturing plants and enabling those locations more time to focus on specialized orders that require factory production.

“The transportation industry is at a pivotal moment, and fleet owners need agile solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership without compromising reliability,” says Drew Schwartzhoff, chief commercial officer.

Sumrak says Wabash hopes to add two upfitters each year to its list of Ready-to-Mount operations to expand the program. Customers interested in securing early access to Ready-to-Mount and upfit solutions can sign up at onewabash.com to be notified of service availability when the facility opens.

“As demand for upfit and ready-to-mount solutions grows, Wabash is leading the way with a national network that brings faster turnaround times and industry expertise directly to our customers,” adds Dave Hill, vice president, Recurring Revenue at Wabash. “It’s the combination of our 40 years of innovation leadership, our expanding Parts and Services locations and our extensive connected dealer network that makes Wabash the partner of choice. Together, we're providing unmatched access to the services fleet owners need to stay competitive. In 2024, Wabash upfitted more than 1,100 truck bodies through our Parts and Services network — helping customers access the equipment they need faster and with greater flexibility than traditional OEM sales.”
