Minimizer founder Dick Kruckeberg passes away

Delmond "Dick" Kruckeberg, founder of Spray Control Systems â€” which eventually became Minimizer and now High Bar Brands â€” has died. He was 87.

Kruckeberg was born in 1935 and married Lorraine Augusta Filley in 1954. Together they had five children.

Kruckeberg founded Spray Control in 1984 after backing over his rubbermaid trashcan and realizing the potential highly resilient plastics. Spray Control would eventually grow to become Minimizer and expanded rapidly. Dick's son Craig would later lead the business.

Today, Minimizer is part of High Bar Brands

The family wishes any memorials be sent to the Leo Augusta Childrens Academy, P.O. Box 127, Blooming Prairie, MN 55917. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Claremont, Minn.
