Who’s in the news: Our weekly trucking employment report

The following employment announcements were made in the trucking industry the week of Dec. 18, 2023: 

  • Truck Centers Inc. announces Katie Hopkins has been appointed CEO. Hopkins is the third generation of her family to lead the business and succeeds her father M. John Hopkins IV, who has led the company for nearly 48 years. He will remain active as chairman of the company's board of directors and co-chairman of the Daimler Trucks of North America (DTNA) National Dealer Council.  
  • Atlantic Great Dane President Gene Masteller and Great Dane of Utah President Bill Nehmer have been elected to NTDA's board of directors.
  • Walker Products named Abner Dominguez its new Western regional sales manager. 
  • Rihm Family Companies was named a Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation, and a Top Woman-Owned Business by the Women in Trucking Association (WIT). This is the sixth year in a row that Rihm has received these two honors.
  • Collin Parker is the new vice president of sales at Hutchens Industries.
