The following employment announcements were made in the trucking industry the week of Nov. 18, 2024: 

  • Eric Luftig, senior vice president at Dorman Products, was awarded the 2024 MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers Member Advocacy Champion Award.
  • Philip Austin, manager of Training & Development at Niterra North America and Rebecca Conway, vice president of U.S./Canada Aftermarket Marketing at Clarios were each awarded the 2024 MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leader Award.
  • Selwyn Joffe, chairman, president, and CEO of Motorcar Parts of America has been named the recipient of the 2024 Michael Cardone Leadership Award, presented by MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers.
  • Grote Industries has promoted Cesar Perez-Bolivar, PhD., to global vice president of engineering.
  • Blair Hendrix was appointed to the board of directors of Merchants Fleet. 
  • Jon Douyard as resigned as chief financial officer of The Shyft Group. He will serve through year's end. 
  • The American Truck Dealers announced Jacqueline W. Gelb will join the organization as president, effective Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.
