Phillips Industries has published its July issue of Qwik Tech Tips. The monthly newsletter focuses on sealed AMP-style lighting connections, and the importance of keeping them clean to maintain performance.
“There are many types of different connections for lighting but sealed AMP style connections provide the highest level of reliability compared to older .180 bullet terminals, which are unsealed and require periodic greasing, PL-3, or other types of lighting connections on the market,” the company says. “As older style incandescent lights are replaced it may be necessary to change the connection type to AMP style connections that are typically used for LED lighting.”
