TMC extends registration for TMC FutureTech

American Trucking Associations’ Technology and Maintenance Council has extended the deadline for the National Student Technician Competition, TMC FutureTech 2015, to Aug. 28, 2015. Applications can be found on event sponsor Velociti Inc.’s website here.

The event, designed to promote career opportunities as heavy-truck technicians, will be held in conjunction with the National Technician Skills Competition, TMC SuperTech 2015, during TMC’s fall meeting, Sept. 21-24, 2015, in Orlando, Fla.

TMCFutureTech 2015 consists of a set of skill stations for technician students that takes place at the same time as TMC SuperTech 2015 for professional technicians. This year, the student competition will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Winners will be announced the next day at the TMC SuperTech 2015 Awards Luncheon. Registration for TMC FutureTech 2015, for a fee of $200, is limited to 80 individuals.

Velociti will present a starter toolbox to the top three student winners at the TMC SuperTech 2015 Awards Luncheon and present electric training boards to the schools of the top three winners during the TMC Annual Meeting in March, the company says.
