Registration is now open for the Heavy Duty Leadership, the one-week leadership development program for the commercial truck aftermarket at the University of the Aftermarket at Northwood University.

This year’s course will be held July 10-15 at Northwood’s campus in Midland, Mich.

Now in its fifth year, Heavy Duty Leadership is a cornerstone in the industry’s efforts to foster the development of a new generation of visionary professionals who will help drive the heavy-duty aftermarket into the future. The program is an intense and intellectually challenging one-week residential professional development program designed for early-to-mid career, management-track heavy-duty professionals in all market segments, the University says.

The program is led by top heavy-duty industry leaders who collaborate with faculty from Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School of Management and the University of the Aftermarket. This unique partnership allows for a mix of the practical and theoretical, appropriate for all levels of the heavy-duty aftermarket, the University says.

The Heavy Duty Leadership also experience includes a blend of industry research and market analysis, discussion and debate of new challenges and competitive strategies, individual skills training in team management, leadership roles, strategic thinking and planning, insight into supply-chain solutions and industry trends, as well as engaging presentations by industry leaders.

The cost is $2,995 per student (includes all meals), and participants receive 3.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward completion of their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) certificates.
