Penske Truck Leasing has opened a new Chicagoland facility in Bedford Park, Ill. The company says the state-of-the art building will be home to former Penske Cicero and Chicago Ridge locations.
The new facility sits on nine and a half acres and is just under 25,000-sq.-ft. With 10 truck bays, one automatic wash bay and a three-lane fuel island, Penske says it will now be able to serve more customers from a convenient location two miles from the Bedford Park Business Park and four miles from the McCook Business Park.
“This is a very strategic move for us. We are consolidating two locations into Bedford Park and creating a modern and large facility near the major Chicago thoroughfares,” says Dan O’Boyle, senior vice president for Penske’s north central region. “With 400 businesses in the Bedford Park village, many of which are customers, we look forward to serving both new and current customers from the facility.”
Penske says the facility’s address is 8001 W. 68th Street Bedford Park, IL 60501. The facility will offer full-service truck leasing, consumer and commercial truck rental, contract truck fleet maintenance and Connected Fleet Solutions, a value-added resource to help customers address issues and options related to onboard technology systems (ELDs, telematics, on-board cameras, etc.), the company says.
