Karmak showcases parts updates to Fusion

The Karmak partner solutions team walked its users through a number of enhancements the company has made to its Fusion dealer management system for parts inventory management and online sales Wednesday at its annual conference in St. Louis.

Among the company’s biggest changes detailed Wednesday was the company’s new partnership with MOTOR Information Systems and its FleetCross product. Karmak’s Partner Solutions team says Karmak’s new partnership with MOTOR should be particularly valuable for users because it will eliminate the need for counter associates to switch from their DMS to FleetCross to search for a customer part.

Additionally, the team says the integration should reduce the manual inputting of parts numbers, allowing counter associates to find a customer’s needed part quicker and get them back on the road. The integration also allows for an unlimited number of users per location.

Wednesday’s discussion also included updates to the company’s WHI integration and its partnership with eBay.

Regarding WHI, Karmak says dealers now can display and sell their Fusion inventory via the WHI Nexpart online store. The integration also now streamlines how dealers can record bill only and buy out parts through the system.

For eBay, Fusion’s integration update now enables dealers to upload select inventory into the e-commerce site complete with quantity and price minimums. These parameters are useful, Karmak says, because they enable dealers to ensure pricing floors for components and only sell a specific number of parts so some inventory remains in stock for in-store customers.

Multiple updates to OEM parts portals were also announced at the meeting.
