The Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) announced Monday it will be hosting a series of webinars in December introducing the association's new Pillar communities: Legislative, Industry Awareness/Marketing, Education/GenNext, and Technology.
CVSN says each webinar will include a moderated conversation with the co-chairs of the specific community, discussing latest projects, upcoming group solutions, upcoming events where the communities will be able collaborate and network, and how to get involved.
"The role of an association is to bring new solutions to the industry it represents. This is accomplished through the mutual cooperation of competitors, as there are plenty of issues that are better solved as a group than as individual companies," says Nick Seidel, CVSN president and vice president of Action Truck Parts. "CVSN has spent the last several months identifying the tough challenges that everyone in the independent commercial vehicle aftermarket industry faces. Through our Pillar communities, we will be able to create an organized strategy on how to best solve those issues and implement the solutions on a larger scale."

"The CVSN Pillar Communities will be the heart of our organization going forward. In each of these Webinars, we will be asking each of the co-chairs to describe their vision and goals for 2024 and beyond," adds Edward Kuo, CVSN executive director. "This is the first open call to action for anyone who has a vested interest in one or more of these pillars. A strong base of volunteer industry experts will help the industry thrive as a whole while giving the individuals an opportunity to grow their own knowledge and value to their organizations"
CVSN states each member company is encouraged, but not required, to have team members participate in as many community Pillars as they are interested in. While participation in a CVSN Pillar community is reserved for CVSN member companies, anyone can register and attend the webinars to learn more about CVSN. Each webinar will also be recorded and made available upon request.
