Betts hires logistics and procurement manager

Betts Truck Parts & Service has hired Sara Cox as its procurement and logistics manager. With nearly 20 years of experience, Cox has overseen a variety of industries, from truck and trailer to freight and supply management.

“The leadership team at Betts is proud to welcome Sara to our rapidly-growing team. We know her years of experience and knowledge in the industry will be great assets to our organization. I’m excited to work alongside Sara to provide our customers with a supply of quality products,” says John Devany, general manager Betts Truck Parts & Service, a division of Betts Company.

Cox will be in charge of purchasing goods for Betts Truck Parts & Service’s eight locations throughout the western United States and the warehouse in Fresno, Calif. Her responsibilities include procuring products, getting them to the store level and managing the inventory in the warehouse to ensure the stores maintain their supplies.

“As someone who has worked in this industry for quite some time, I’ve always heard great things about Betts Company, its three divisions and The Betts Way. I’m very eager to get started and collaborate with the team to help this 150-year-old business expand even further,” says Cox.

The new hire is a reflection of Betts Truck Parts & Service’s consistent year-over-year growth, according to an announcement, as well as the Labor Department’s report, which states, “manufacturing jobs are growing at the fastest rate in 23 years.”
