LoadHandler Power Products has expanded its offering of 100-percent new, no-core starter motors for medium-duty truck, industrial and school bus applications with the new L545 offset gear reduction starter for 12V systems. Designed for use in 3.9-5.9L Cummins diesel engines, the starter provides consistent crank and reliable performance in a value-driven package, according to an announcement.
“As with all LoadHandler products, the new L545 drop-in replacement starter is fully performance tested and engineered to deliver OE-like appearance, fit and function,” says Jonathan Smith, assistant director, aftermarket sales and marketing, LoadHandler Power Products. “We’re pleased to introduce another offering that provides an affordable alternative to the rebuilt starters used in many of today’s applications.”
Each LoadHandler L545 starter weighs 19 lb. and includes a heat-treated shaft designed to increase durability and service life. Other built-in features and application-specific technologies combine to ensure consistent, reliable performance, the company says.
