HDDA: Heavy Duty, a community of the Auto Care Association, will introduce new member-focused features to this year’s Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2019 later this month in Las Vegas.

The community says its presence at HDAW will focus on enhancing its members’ experience at the annual trade show and emphasize its central commitment, “We do it all. For you.”

One new feature will be an interactive booth experience. HDDA: Heavy Duty says its booth (R13) will feature a “smart” wall and interactive touchscreen walkthrough of what the association offers its members. The interactive display will engage visitors and provide information about current member benefits and industry initiatives, including: industry standards development; advocacy; education; data; industry leadership; global access; career resources; and more.

The community also expand its member center. After the successful launch of the center (located in Jamaica A-B) at last year’s HDAW, this year’s HDDA Member Center will be expanded to accommodate more visitors. The new center will provide a larger lounge area for members and visitors, as well as an additional, larger meeting room space. The new, larger meeting room introduced for 2019 accommodates up to 10 people and the smaller room accommodates up to four people. The two meeting rooms are free for members and all distributors in attendance of HDAW. Light refreshments will be available for all visitors to the Member Center.

HDDA: Heavy Duty says the HD Data Standards Advisory Committee also will be hosting a networking event with complimentary drinks at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, in Antigua A&B of the Mirage Convention Center, ahead of its session on digital commerce strategy. All HDAW attendees are welcome to attend.

Finally, the community says it will hold a digital commerce strategy session following its networking event. HDDA: Heavy Duty says the advancement of technologies supporting the inclusion of digital commerce strategies in the expanding omni-channel environment make the adoption of Product Information Standards an imperative for the streamlining of the heavy-duty aftermarket. Presented by HDDA standards project partner, Pricedex, this session will feature leading heavy-duty component manufacturers as they discuss their digital e-commerce initiatives. They will share why they plan to adopt heavy duty product information standards into their plans and how they will execute on incorporating the standards. This session will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, in Antigua A&B of the Mirage Convention Center.
