Who’s in the news: Our weekly trucking employment report

The following employment changes were announced to the trucking industry last week (Jan. 6-12, 2020).

  • Hankook Tire America Corp. has announced Soo II Lee will assume the role of president. Lee previously served as president and chief operating officer of the America headquarters.
  • Peterbilt Motors Company has hired Tim Olson as public relations manager.
  • Sirco Industries has appointed Scott Smith as its vice president, sales and marketing.
  • Stoneridge Inc. has hired Kevin Heigel as its new vice president of operations.
  • Tenneco announced Brian Kesseler, co-CEO and a member of the board of directors, will assume the newly consolidated role of CEO. Roger Wood will no longer serve as co-CEO and is stepping down as a director of the company.
  • Universal Technical Institute announced Todd Hitchcock has joined the company as chief strategy and transformation officer and Lori Smith was promoted to chief information officer. Also, UTI is conducting a national search for a chief commercial officer.
