Jim Hawk Truck Trailers will open its first Texas location in Fort Worth on Sept. 1.

The move marks a significant milestone for the 53-year-old family-owned business as it continues its steady growth beyond its Midwest roots.

Founded in 1972 by James V. Hawk in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jim Hawk Truck Trailers has grown into a multi-location operation offering over-the-road trailers, spotter trucks, parts, rentals, and service. The company also operates Hawk Equipment, a division specializing in construction and agriculture trailers, integrated across its branch network.

“Expanding into Texas is more than growth — it’s a continuation of the values our grandfather instilled in us,” says Jim Hawk III, president of Jim Hawk Truck Trailers. “We’re proud to bring the Jim Hawk name, service and commitment to Fort Worth and beyond.”

The Fort Worth location is the first of five planned openings across Texas over the next five years, the company says.

“This is a natural next step in our growth,” says David Hawk, CEO of Hawk Investments, the parent company of Jim Hawk Truck Trailers. “Texas is an essential transportation hub, and we’re excited to serve customers there with the same service-first culture that’s defined us for more than five decades.”

Known for its deep customer relationships and commitment to service before and after the sale, Jim Hawk Truck Trailers states it continues to be a trusted name in the transportation industry as it expands into new markets.
