Beginning the home stretch of Truck Parts & Service’s top products of 2018 list at No. 5 is Meritor’s bearing and seal kits.
Meritor announced in June the launch of 20 bearing and seal kits and 70 individual bearings covering popular Meritor and Dana axles. The company says its comprehensive offering covers a significant portion of drive axle carrier assemblies serviced in the North America aftermarket.
The bearings are manufactured in Europe with high-quality steel for strength and toughness and optimized for balanced load distribution and higher load capacity. Tighter tolerance on bearing width reduces variations and the time required to rebuild carrier assemblies, improving the productivity of rebuilders, Meritor says.
The Meritor bearing and seal kits are a continuation in a series of products launched to provide its rebuilder and warehouse distributor customers with high-quality drive axle components at aftermarket prices, the company adds.
The company returns to the list after appearing eighth last year for its Driveshaft on Demand program.
