Phillips Industries announced Tuesday it has been chosen by Daimler AG to provide electrical/trailer cables for their Mercedes-Benz trucks in Europe.
“Daimler has long contributed to Phillips Industries’ success in the commercial vehicle market,” says Ron Alvarez, director – North America and global OEM/OES sales. “We are honored and excited to have recently been selected as their supplier in the European market as well.”
Phillips Industries says it was the first cable manufacturer to develop the coiled assembly in the U.S., which has now become the industry standard. And because Phillips products are built to the highest quality standard, they are currently specified on 100 percent of class 8 trucks built in the U.S., the company says.
