Allison Transmission will unite it's acquisition of Dana's off-highway business into a single brand, the company announced recently.

The company will be known as Allison with business units known as Allison Transmission and Allison Off-Highway Drive & Motion Systems. Established product brands, such as Spicer, Brevini, GWB, Fairfield and Graziano, will keep their names under the Allison brand.

"Our products have a long history, earning the trust of customers over decades. Much of what they value about Allison is embodied in the product brands themselves," says David Graziosi, Allison's chair, president and CEO. "By uniting all of our product brands under Allison, we communicate a consistent strategy and promise to keep the essential industries our customers serve moving forward with confidence."

Allison and Dana closed on the sale of the off-highway business in January for $2.7 billion. Chairman and CEO R. Bruce McDonald said the divestiture would make Dana a more focused company dedicated to serving both light and commercial vehicle customers.
