The heavy-duty supplier industry once again has come together to sponsor four Northwood University students to attend this month’s Mid-America Truck Show in Louisville.
Sponsored by Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) member companies Accuride, Bergstrom, Dana, Pressure Systems International (PSI), the students will spend next week assisting event organizers, shadowing industry professionals, attending educational sessions and networking events
The students are all currently studying the heavy-duty aftermarket at Northwood and will be able to use their trip to MATS to get a better look at their possible future industry and career. Each student was required to submit an application to attend, with the top four being selected.
Additionally, students will have the exclusive opportunity to attend HDMA’s 25th Annual Breakfast and Briefing.
“For 25 years, HDMA has been able to offer the unique opportunity to network, educate, and promote growth and goodwill within our industry as well as to focus on the expanding global influence of our member suppliers and OEMS. Now, we have the chance to expose this environment to the next group to join our workforce,” says Tim Kraus, president and CEO of HDMA.
Northwood University offers four-year undergraduate aftermarket degrees, as well as Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designations through its University of the Aftermarket program.
