Blaine Brothers has expanded its diverse capabilities into fluid power with the acquisition of Hydraulic Specialty, Inc. (HSI).
Hydraulic Specialty opened in 1968 in Fridley, Minn. The company offers hydraulic service and repair, custom manufactured cylinders, power units, winches and manifolds. Blaine Brothers says Hydraulic Specialty is a complete source for hydraulic products and service for on highway and mobile needs. But HSI’s specialty is in the challenging and ever-changing off highway markets, such as rail, mining and construction. Customization is their specialty, the company says.
“If it’s got oil going through it, we can do it – that’s our motto,” says Kevin McCarty, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Hydraulic Specialty offers repair services, systems engineering and design, and a complete inventory of products. HSI is an exceptional compliment to the Blaine Brothers entity. For [more than] 45 years, HSI has been offering the expertise and full service operation of a big company with the attention to detail that a small company thrives upon. This emulates the Blaine Brothers model.”
